| CLINIC Overview Rick's clinical work focuses primarily on empowering clients to own and direct every aspect of who they are and how they live. According to Rick, almost any symptom is an outer reflection of lost or misunderstood direction and meaning deep within the unconscious mind. He models a compelling and effective process that rapidly clears away emotional debris on many levels. When a person learns to retake ownership of their lives, and regain their personal power at a significantly deep level, their whole life changes and symptoms melt away effortlessly—even the chronic, difficult ones. His methods work rapidly with almost every client, usually requiring only one session to gain significant and lasting change. There are literally hundreds of people living very different lives to what they had been experiencing before they spent time with him. ...Often in just one session! • traumas • phobias • addictions • toxic relationship issues • depression • communication breakdown • serious eating disorders • disturbing memories • uncontrollable anger or fear • lack of life-direction/purpose • prolonged grieving • low self-esteem • life skills & management • and much more…Case History Examples • Black Dog Depression Totally Gone From Her LifeWilma, in her late 60s, had suffered from serious depression for over 35 years. 20 years ago she attempted to take her life and has given serious thought to it since. Wilma’s mother suffered from depression for as long as she could remember. She has two sisters who also suffer extended deep depressive bouts, although neither of them as badly as Wilma coped with. A successive line of doctors had told her that her condition was hereditary and prescribed anti-depressants to keep it under control, but the drugs made her life ‘foggy’ resulting in her feeling absent, powerless and 'zombie-like'. Wilma has not suffered a depressive bout for over 12 months since her treatment with Rick (her longest period free of depression ever had been around three months). She if fully of drugs, has a positive attitude to her life and sees no reason why she should ever suffer depression in her life again.• TraumaGary witnessed an horrific car accident and supported an occupant, who sustained extensive and gruesome injuries, until help arrived. After eight months he still had ongoing nightmares about the experience and, as a result, hardly ever sleep and started drinking heavily. His family were desperate to hold themselves together, as was he, but all were seriously unravelling under the strain. Gary had started talking about suicide. One session—the trauma had gone. Gary was his old self again and his family were enormously relieved to ‘have him back’.
• Haunted by PhobiasTrevor had exaggerated fears of crowded places so he stayed at home almost all the time. Mary could never fly. Even the thought of leaving the ground sent her legs to jelly and her stomach almost dry reaching. Ralph knew his fear of frogs jumping out at him from anywhere and everywhere at any time was irrational, but that didn’t stop him being absolutely petrified that they would. Although very intelligent and bright, this meant that he couldn’t function normally anywhere in life, so he stayed indoors most of the time. Each phobia was gone after one session.• Serious, Life-Threatening Eating DisordersTanja is an attractive girl with anorexia. After years of relentless denying that she even had a problem, Tanja finally wanted to get beyond it but was, by then, out of control. She was released from hospital after treatments were not working. All but her mother had given up as nothing anyone had tried was effective in shifting her off her fatal course. To the amazement of those who had been treating her for five years, after only one session Tanja no longer engaged in behaviour that was prematurely ending her life.• 6 Years of Periodic Unconsciousness StopsEvery specialist consulted had been unable to find any reason why thirty-two year old Sonia had been spontaneously losing consciousness every couple of weeks for six years. Having exhausted every known medical avenue her parents drove her from interstate in the hope that Rick could help. One session the passing out stopped and, six months further on, Sonia was still completely free of fainting spells.• Hallucinating Man Tames His DemonsRoger was becoming increasingly delusional with numerous ‘visions’ haunting his life. He and his family were aware that he would soon be incapable of avoiding medicated, however, they were hoping to find a solution without drugs that would retain his quality of life. Among other delusions, for example, Roger could no longer travel by car. He would become highly agitated believing ‘meteors were about to hit the vehicle and kill everyone in it’. Roger left his session able to cope with his delusions. He reported a few weeks later that even though he still had them he was able to discern between what was real and what wasn’t and so could now cope—and without any need for medication.• Binge Drinking Stops Dead in TracksMichael was drinking with his friends every night, most of the night, and trying to work the next day, every day, until his habit caught up with him and he knew he had a serious problem. Michael knew he needed help when he kept vomiting from alcohol poisoning in the car on his way to work, but he couldn’t stop himself from drinking. After only one session Michael was back in control, able to self-limit his beer to only one glass every two hours in order to stay below the legal blood-alcohol limit (his choice). Months later he was still in control.• Prolonged GrievingSue’s relationship with Tom ended over 17 years ago but she still found herself sinking into melancholic depression longing to be able to wind back the clock. Consciously she recognised the irrationality of this, however, she was so emotionally linked to the past, she could never get herself free enough to move on. One session—Sue was free of the emotional ‘ball and chain’ about her passed relationship that had haunted her for almost half her life.• Toxic RelationshipRobert’s mother had been emotionally abusive toward him throughout all his childhood and adolescent years. Although she had died almost a decade ago her effect upon him was still as strong as ever. Whenever his memory of her was triggered it was as if he was still a young boy, feeling hopelessly inadequate and unlovable, tragically affecting his life in every area. One session—Robert had his life back, free of his mother’s toxic influence. One further session resolved a few other related emotional issues.• Emotionally StuckAnna was sexually abused as young girl. She thought that after the perpetrator had been dealt with by the law that she’d be able to move on, but the emotion of the memory was still painful, even decades later. She wanted move beyond it so she could have a meaningful, long-term relationship, which she could not do. One session—Anna moved on, free of the emotion that had burdened her for years.• Low Self EsteemMichael suffered from feelings of inadequacy. He was talented and bright but never felt as though he was worthy of being valued just for himself so he spent his entire life underachieving and avoiding opportunity for growth and advancement whenever it looked like coming his way. The root of Michael’s problem went deep yet in only one session he was able to move beyond his issues of inadequacy and began to confidently take on assignments and opportunities, turning his life around.• Heading for the Divorce CourtWhile Colette and Brian had been married only a year, they were literally only days away from irreconcilable separation and divorce. Nearly every time they spoke they would fight. She would yell and throw things at him. He was staying away from home just to avoid being around her. Although they still loved each other and wanted their marriage to work they desperately wanted to find a way beyond the fighting but had no idea how. After the first session the fighting totally stopped. A second session taught some practical communication skills and they’ve been a happy, devoted couple ever since. They have been sending a Christmas card each year and say how well they are going.• General IssuesRobert was fifteen and had been bedwetting nightly since infancy. Nothing he, or his parents, tried worked. They were at their wit’s end, and so was Robert who could never do anything like sleeping over at friends’ homes, or going camping just to mention two. His low self-esteem was becoming chronic, effecting his friendships, schooling and social life. One session and Robert’s bed remained dry from that night forward. His lift in confidence was immediate and the next week he was chosen for his school’s football team. Life had turned around for him. Garry was a chronic smoker. Now that he had a small son’s health to consider, and wanting to be around to be a part of his life for as long as possible, he was at last motivated to stop. Garry stopped effortlessly after only one session even though he had tried to quit many times before.• Out-Of-Control Led to Time in JailSusan had been in trouble with the law and with life in general since she turned twelve. In her late twenties she had spent a few years in jail as a result of trying to maintain her drug habits. Then by her early forties she was crying herself to sleep at night because, although she desperately wanted to change her life, nothing made any real difference to how she actually lived, no matter how hard she tried. The fear of being doomed to one failure after another the rest of her life sent her into uncontrollable, bouts of serious depression. After one session Susan was able to find the key to putting her life back on the rails. Her depression was gone and she was excited and optimistic about her future for the first time in thirty years. Her life literally turned around from the moment she finished the session.• Geoff James (Cairns, Nth QLD)I had heard about Rick Morse and came to see him after the medical profession had virtually given up on me. Seventeen months earlier I’d experienced a rare kind of stroke that left me blind in one eye and suffering the worst, relentless migraine. After months of tests my specialists could do nothing for me and suggested my migraine symptoms could be psychological. After spending so much time and money seeing psychiatrists I was still in constant pain and getting no better. I was living on increasing doses of pain control medication that I knew would eventually lead to other physical problems. I couldn’t keep going this way. I spoke to Rick on the phone and decided to fly to Sydney to see him. I walked into his clinic with my then-constant migraine and walked out pain free. My eyesight hasn’t returned, but I’m now free of the migraines and live an almost normal life.• Gary Woodward (Melbourne, VIC)Much of my youth I was a guest in youth detention facilities in W.A. I could write a book about my life carrying the pain and trauma of my childhood. I had a session with Rick when my life was in tatters. I was then 57. My marriage of 35 years was over; most of my kids disowned me and I couldn’t get a job. I was angry and bitter, not so much with what life dealt me, but that I couldn’t seem to get beyond the accumulated pain of my life. When my younger brother died suddenly of a heart attack I fell to pieces knowing that his premature death was related to pain he too carried from a similar upbringing to me. After trying all sorts of counsellors, psychologists, and so on, with no real or lasting change, Rick had me free of the emotional pain I’ve carried ever since boyhood. I felt as though I was free for the first time in my life.• Sarah Cousins (Sydney, NSW)I’m nineteen with ADHD, and have had uncontrollable temper outbursts since I was very young. My violence has wrecked the family. When I 'lose it' they are scared of me, but I can’t help it. So I’ve moved around from one friend’s place, to another, until I fight with my friends and their families and I have to move on. Then one of my friend’s mother took me to see Rick. After one visit I could control my anger in any situation. I was stunned as I’ve never been able to do that before. And I haven’t lost my temper since. I’ve been able to get a job and keep it now for over three months! I haven’t moved back home yet, but I will soon. My mother’s real happy, but she’s waiting to see if the old me comes back. It won’t happen because I’m in control now.• Peter Gerrard (Melbourne, VIC)I’ve been addicted to Coca-Cola for years and literally lived with an open can in my hand almost from the time I woke up in the morning until I went to bed at night. I carried a lot of weight as a result, and no matter what I tried, I couldn’t get off the Coke or get my weight down. One session and the just-got-to-have-it craving was totally gone. I stopped drinking coke, cold turkey, after just one session! I’m still amazed it was so easy. I beat the addiction and now I have control of my life, and my self-esteem, back. |
